All our team in store have exceptional experience and have been working in the travel industry for at least 5 years. We are fully ATOL protected and all client funds are stored in a Trust Account here.

A Message from the founders.

We are Brett & Sophie, the founders of Travel Safe Horbury. We have over 30 years’
combined experience working in the travel sector and have spent a great deal of
our working life looking after the holiday dreams of our clients. It truly is our passion! People ask us why we have chosen Horbury – the simple answer is Horbury chose us! We had an appointment in the area so we decided to have some lunch while in town as we were unfamiliar with it ourselves. “This would be a lovely place for a travel agency” we commented as we walked up the High Street. We dismissed this as there appeared to be no shops available on the High Street. However, as we returned to our car and headed out of town we spotted, and fell in love immediately with, what is now our travel home….. the former William Hill shop which served the Horbury community for over 50 years.

Which passport stamp are you most proud of?

Sophie: My Malaysia stamp, it was the first solo trip I ever made!

Brett: I’ve jus got a new passport so I have 32 pages to fill!

Where did you have the best meal?

Sophie: The morning glory street food restaurant in Hoi An, Vietnam. The restaurant takes in homeless and orphaned children/teens and teaches them how to cook and earn their qualifications. The prawn curry, served in a coconut was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted.

Brett: I have had many exciting and delicious meals, but the most memorable was a €45.00 club sandwich in Venice. It was delicious, but I think I was paying for the view!

Where was the comfiest bed?

Sophie: Shangri La Bar Al Jissah in Oman

Brett: The Sofitel, Palm Jumeirah, Dubai

Where did you have the best cocktail or glass of wine?

Sophie: The Savoy Grill, London

Brett: Espresso Martini onboard Virgin Voyages Scarlett Lady!

Sophie: The Essex House hotel in New York
